The Supportive Services for Veteran’s Families (SSVF) grant provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families. The services are for Veteran families who are
1) Residing in permanent housing,
2) Homeless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing within a specific time period, or
3) Exiting permanent housing within a specific time period and seeking other housing that is responsive to their needs. The funding is provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The SSVF grant in West Virginia is administered by the West Virginia Community Action Partnership and covers the entire state. Coalfield CAP administers this program in Calhoun, Clay, Kanawha, Mingo and Roane counties.
